Alkalina Tea has been experimenting with different seasonings that may assist with inflammation. Use seasonings in moderation especially when they are high in sodium. Using chicken bouillon can significantly enhance the flavor of chicken dishes, even when used in small amounts like 1 tablespoon for 25 pieces of chicken. The benefits include:
- Enhanced Flavor: Chicken bouillon contains concentrated chicken flavor along with herbs and spices. Adding it to chicken dishes can enrich the taste and make the chicken more savory.
- Convenience: It's a convenient way to add flavor without needing to use various spices separately. It's a one-stop seasoning for a quick enhancement.
- Uniform Seasoning: Using bouillon ensures a uniform distribution of flavor across the chicken pieces, ensuring consistent taste throughout.
- Depth of Taste: Bouillon often contains ingredients that can deepen the taste profile, creating a more complex and satisfying flavor.
- Versatility: It's not limited to just chicken. Bouillon can also be used in various other dishes like soups, stews, sauces, and rice for added flavor.
However, it's essential to be mindful of the sodium content in bouillon as it can be high. Moderation is key to prevent the dish from becoming overly salty.
Using curry offers several benefits, both in terms of flavor and potential health advantages:
- Rich Flavor Profile: Curry is a blend of various spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, and others. It offers a complex and aromatic flavor profile that can transform dishes, adding depth and richness.
- Antioxidant Properties: Many of the spices commonly found in curry, such as turmeric, contain antioxidants that can help combat oxidative stress in the body.
- Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Turmeric, a primary ingredient in many curry blends, contains curcumin, known for its anti-inflammatory properties that may assist in reducing inflammation in the body.
- Digestive Benefits: Certain spices in curry, like ginger and cumin, are known to aid digestion and may help alleviate digestive issues.
- Customizable: Curry blends can be tailored to suit personal preferences, allowing for variations in spice levels, heat, and specific flavors desired in a dish.
- Versatility: Curry can be used in various dishes beyond traditional curries, such as soups, stews, marinades, and even salad dressings, offering a wide range of culinary options.
- Cultural Significance: It's a central component in many cultural cuisines, offering not just taste but a connection to diverse culinary traditions.
As with any spice blend, moderation in its use is important to avoid overpowering the dish. Additionally, individual reactions to certain spices may vary, so it's good to be mindful of any personal sensitivities or allergies. Click this link to see the VIDEO: SIMPLE CURRY CHICKEN RECIPE
Sazón is a seasoning blend commonly used in Latin American cuisine, particularly in Spanish, Caribbean, and Mexican dishes. Its benefits include:
- Enhanced Flavor: Sazón typically contains a mix of ingredients like garlic powder, cumin, coriander, achiote, and other spices. It adds a distinct and flavorful taste to dishes, providing a unique and savory profile.
- Convenience: It's a convenient way to season food, as it combines various spices in one package, saving time and effort in measuring out individual seasonings.
- Color Enhancement: Sazón often contains achiote, a natural coloring agent derived from annatto seeds. This imparts a vibrant orange-red hue to dishes, enhancing their visual appeal.
- Versatility: It can be used in a wide range of dishes, including rice, beans, stews, soups, meats, and vegetables, adding a flavorful touch to many recipes.
- Cultural Connection: Sazón is an integral part of many traditional Latin American recipes, contributing not just to taste but also connecting to cultural culinary heritage.
However, it's important to note that some commercial versions of Sazón may contain added salt or monosodium glutamate (MSG), which might not be suitable for individuals with certain dietary restrictions or sensitivities. Checking the ingredients label or making homemade versions can help control the components used. Moderation in its use is also recommended due to the presence of salt in some blends.
Absolutely! Avocado oil is a fantastic choice for frying due to its high smoke point, which means it can withstand high temperatures without breaking down or producing harmful compounds. When you're frying chicken or any other food, using an oil with a high smoke point like avocado oil helps prevent the oil from burning and maintains the quality of your dish.
Here's why avocado oil works well for frying:
- High Smoke Point: Avocado oil typically has a smoke point of around 520°F (271°C), which is much higher than many other cooking oils like olive oil. This high smoke point makes it great for frying at higher temperatures without the risk of burning the oil.
- Neutral Flavor: Avocado oil has a mild, neutral taste, allowing the flavors of your spices and the chicken to shine through without imparting its own distinct flavor to the dish.
- Health Benefits: Avocado oil contains healthy fats, such as monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, which can have potential health benefits when used as part of a balanced diet.
When frying your curry chicken in avocado oil, it helps ensure that your dish is cooked evenly, retains its flavors, and doesn't become greasy. Plus, it's a healthier alternative to some other oils often used for frying.

DIRECTIONS
- Prepare the Chicken: Clean and pat dry the chicken pieces.
- Coat the Chicken: Sprinkle the seasoning on the chicken and then MIX WELL
- Refrigerate 15 minutes of longer
- Heat the Avocado Oil: In a large skillet or pan, heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat. You'll need enough oil to fry the chicken pieces until they're golden and crispy.
- Fry the Chicken: Once the oil is hot, carefully place the seasoned chicken pieces into the skillet. Be cautious to avoid overcrowding the pan, as this can lead to uneven cooking. Fry the chicken in batches if needed.
- Cook Until Golden: Fry the chicken until it's golden brown and crispy on all sides. Ensure the chicken is cooked thoroughly; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) to ensure it's safe to eat.
- Drain Excess Oil: Once cooked, transfer the fried chicken pieces onto a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Your finished dish should be beautifully spiced, aromatic, and bursting with flavor from the curry powder, Sazon seasoning, and chicken bouillon. This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, naan, or other side dishes of your choice. Enjoy your delicious homemade curry chicken!
